Nakaya's T-series Japanese Hand Planes (Kanna) have a white oak body and an excellent quality high carbon tool steel blade. Designed for general use, professional carpenters may need to do some adjustments or set-up on these planes before use.

Japanese hand planes work on the pull stroke (similar to Japanese saws). Though they can be pushed, they provide more cutting control when pulled across a surface.
