Grey Pine Tar Vitriol
Auson Grey Pine Tar Vitriol is made with genuine pine tar, natural grey pigments, and iron vitriol. The result is a stunning and sleek modern grey finish. Grey pine Tar Vitriol should be applied on untreated wood, and is premixed with a high quality gum turpentine. Does NOT need to be mixed with linseed or tung drying oils. The gum turpentine allows the pine tar vitriol to soak deep into the wood for a unique look.
The result is a natural, breathable, grey matte finish that is water-repellant, rot-resistant, pest-resistant, and UV resistant.
Should be applied in 10-15ºC weather for deep penetration into the wood.
Pine tar has been relied upon for centuries for preserving ancient buildings in Europe, such as Norway's Stave churches, some of which are still being used and maintained with pine tar after 900 years.
Pine Tar from Auson is produced in a closed kiln, oven made, and is creosote-free!
